Is it right to ask women about personal circumstances during an employment interview?

TVBUSINESSLOUNGEAs a woman, have you ever been in a job interview, where you’ve been asked questions concerning your personal life?  YES? yet you know in answering these questions the answers could affect your opportunity in getting the position?

This can be a true fact for many companies, when choosing between male and female candidates.  Many face this uncomfortable situation.  However, is it true that even when both men and women are equally experienced, the company will probably pick the male perhaps because of possible maternity leave?

The balance between work and life is harder every day, especially for women.  A perfect solution to this could be a more flexible and remote working style.  Can companies be in favour of moving from an old-fashioned management to a more soft style management? And will that kind of discrimination be solved by this change of management?
